We transform food systems

Starling made simple:
a step-by-step guide to get you up and running.

Create a new
Location

Your Organization can be comprised of an endless array of Locations to suit your unique needs.

Think of Locations as the physical spaces where the day-to-day happens: offices, warehouses, loading docks, copy rooms, walk-in coolers, and water coolers.

1. Add it
Tap the "+" to add a new Location, nested inside your current Location.
2. Name it.
A Location by any other name ... well, it's still a Location. Call it whatever suits!
3. Create it
Quickly create new Locations to match the physical layout of your Organization. For now, click 'Yes'.
4. Customize it
Add photos so you and others can easily and instantly distinguish various Locations.

Create a new
Item

It's during this step that the individual products, boxes, and pallets in your facility come alive.

By assigning a unique Starling ID, with the aid of a Starling label, each movement of your product along the supply chain is now trackable in granular detail.

1. Go Here
Tap the "+" then "Go Here" to ensure that you're creating at the intended Location.
2. Add it
Tap the "+" then "Create item." Search for Items by type in your organization's catalog.
3. Scan it
Assign a unique Starling barcode to the newly created Item with a quick scan.
4. Modify it
The Item now exists at that Location and can be modified as desired.
5. Add a note
Multiple parties can communicate about a particular Item prior to sale.
6. Track the history
Every link of the chain is tracked and logged, providing unparalleled transparency.

2. Select the Streams
Existing streams will appear at the top. Check any that apply.
3. Set a price (opt.)
